Who is Regina Cassandrra, the cinema icon?
Regina Cassandrra, born in December 1990, she etched a niche in Tamil and Telugu film industries. She went on the filmy venture in her early age. She belongs to a family based in Chennai and began her journey at the tender age of nine years old as an anchor for a kids’ channel, Splash.
She has received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Women’s Christian College, located in her home city, Chennai. She further fetched a Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Madras.
Regina Cassandrra’s maiden project
Regina debuted in a 2005 Tamil film debut starring Karthik Kumar titled Kanda Naal Mudhal. Acing effortless in Kollywood, she then ventured on Telugu cinema with actor Sudheer Babu in Siva Manasulo Shruti.
She bagged a SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut-Telugu, for her incredible work in the film. She worked on hit projects with Sundeep Kishan and Sivakarthikeyan.
Regina Cassandrra’s debut in Bollywood films
The actor seemed unstoppable, despite pursuing greater heights in the Tamil and Telugu segment, she then approached to Bollywood with her first project announced in 2016. However, her work made debut in 2019 with Sonam Kapoor starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga.
Until now, she also backed some amazing hits in the South cinema belt, including films starring Vijay Sethupathi (Farzi), Rana Daggubati (1945), and most recently with Ajith Kumar (Vidaamuyarchi).
Recent stint
Regina now stars in two Bollywood films in 2025, indeed the best news for her news. She shares screen with Sunny Deol in Jaat, which hit the theaters on April 10, 2025. The actress played wife of Randeep Hooda, the antagonist in the film.
She also appeared in a significant role in Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2, which released on April 18. She again portrays the character of Akshay’s wife in the movie. Interestingly, the actor never takes part in promotional events. Even her name does not appear in the Kesari 2 cast list in the internet.
