Alia Bhatt is occupied with the promotion of her film Jigra which is set to hit theaters on Friday. Jee Le Zaraa is one of the actor’s most anticipated ventures; it was first announced in 2021. Since then, rumors have circulated suggesting that Farhan Akhtar’s much-awaited directing project has been put on hold due to Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif’s walking out from the project. In an interview with The Lallantop, Alia discussed about the film’s postponement.
Alia speaks up on the postponement
Regarding the release of Jee Le Zaraa, Alia stated, “Jee Le Zaraa is also right now… we have not scheduled shooting. Definitely, hogi! Its a film that everybody- jo bhi key players hein uss film mein, actors and producers, director, everybody wants the film to happen but logistically kaafi difficult ho raha tha to get all the dates together but I think sab ke agar zahan mein he aur intent mein hein toh woh film ban jayegi (It is difficult to get the dates of the key players together but everyone has it in their mind that that the film has to be made).”
On the 20th anniversary of his 2001 directing debut, Dil Chahta Hai, Farhan Akhtar stated that the travel movie will be his directorial return after more than ten years.
Alia is next set to reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Love and War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor. Recently alongwith Sharvari she wrapped up Alpha, the first YRF Spy Universe film with female lead directed by Shiv Rawail.
