Mirzapur 3: Before third season, how did Mirzapur 2 end? - India Today

Over the years, the gangster drama, which was directed by Gurmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, has developed a cult following.

Sadly, Divyenndu’s portrayal of Munna Bhaiya, who is quite popular, will not be making a comeback this time, which somewhat disheartens all of the Mirzapur fans. Although Divyenndu’s character was shot dead by the end of Mirzapur 2, fans of that specific link were hopeful that the makers will bring him back to life.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Divyenndu disclosed that he personally made the decision to break up with that role because he felt stifled.  Divyenndu said, “We shouldn’t over-romanticise going too deep into a character, because it is not easy. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realize that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it do you realize how dark it was.”
