Will Sonakshi Sinha opt for conversion post marriage with Zaheer Iqbal? Family responds

Actor Sonakshi Sinha is prepared to tie the knot actor Zaheer Iqbal, officially on June 23. Now, the father of the prospective groom, Iqbal Ratansi, stated in a Free Press Journal interview that Sonakshi will not be converting and that the marriage will be civil.
Groom’s father speaks up

“It will have neither Hindu or Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage,” he stated.
“She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever”.
The couple reportedly gave the marriage registrar the required one-month notice, as required by the Special Marriage Act, 1954, which would govern the marriage. “I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi,” he further mentioned, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
About the union
On June 23, 2024, Sonakshi and Zaheer will tie the knot in Mumbai. Yo Yo Honey Singh and Poonam Dhillon just announced the wedding.
Sonakshi’s wedding invitation was leaked online a while back. Additionally, an audio QR code with a heartfelt message from Sonakshi and Zaheer is included with the wedding invitation. The invitation reads, “We’re making it official (finally)! The rumours were true.”
Their wedding invite read, “The moment where go from being each other’s rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend,” Sonakshi stated, further added by Zaheer, “To being each other’s definite and official husband and wife.” “Finally! This celebration will not be complete without you so drop whatever you’re doing on the 23rd of June and come party with us. See you there.”
The invite added, “Dress code: formal and festive, just don’t wear red.”
