Yo Yo Honey Singh not interested to reconcile with Badshah; addresses Raftaar’s diss tracks
Raftaar wrote more about other people than himself, according to Singh.
A few years ago, Yo Yo Honey Singh said, “Rolls Royce aur Nano me bohot fark hota hai,” in reference to his comparison to his former friend Badshah. The rapper pair split up in 2009 due to an unspecified feud, but things only got worse when Badshah took aim at Honey in-between songs. Singh, whose health took a temporary turn for the worse, was unable to change it, but he hasn’t “forgotten” anything.
When asked if he would like to work with his former teammates Raftaar and Badshah once more in a recent interview with The Lallantop, Honey gave a direct response. “Raftaar has released more diss tracks against me than Badshah, but I respect Raftaar because he is a talent picked up from the streets and I chose him from there. It was a different matter that he turned against me only under someone else’s influence,” he quoted in Hindi.
Additionally, the singer disclosed that Raftaar had apologized to him once while they were traveling together, but it was only six months later when he dropped another diss track against him.
“Agar Raftaar, Lil Golu, Ikka in teeno ke sath kaam karne ka mauka milega toh mai definately karunga, kyuki ye streets se uthe hue stars hai,” Honey further stated that “Badshah ke saath kabhi nahi.”
Honey mentioned if he is still mad at Badshah, “Naarazgi apno se hoti hai, paraayo se nahi.. Client se nahi.” For the unversed, he called Badshah ‘client’ because the first time they met was when the former’s father approached Honey to make music for his son’s English song. This was the first time when Honey worked with the affluent family of Badshah.
