Actor Zachery Ty Bryan of Home Improvement fame was taken into custody. During the course of just 12 months, the actor has drawn legal attention to himself three times.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the celebrity, who even starred in films like The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Hammer of the Gods, in which he portrayed the demigod Thor, was taken into custody on January 1, 2025, and charged with second-degree domestic violence.
According to the sheriff’s office records, Zachery Ty Bryan was booked into the Horry County jail the next day after being apprehended in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. According to reports, his bond was set at $10,000.
Earlier, the actor was detained in October and accused of driving while intoxicated and without a legal license. Ty Bryan was arrested for the same felony and a minor contempt of court conviction in February 2024, prior to his October DUI arrest.
Furthermore, Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested for alleged domestic violence before. He was charged with felony assault, third-degree robbery, and assault back in July 2023.
According to PEOPLE, Ty Bryan was sentenced to seven days in jail and 36 months of supervised probation after entering a guilty plea to the felony of assault in the fourth degree later that year.
Similarly, he was arrested in October 2020 on misdemeanor counts of assault and interfering with a police report, as well as a felony accusation of strangulation.
In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 regarding his arrest in 2020, Zachery Ty Bryan said, “We didn’t even really get that physical,” further adding, “We got really loud. We were screaming and because we were in a townhome that had [thin walls], everybody could hear.”
