Team India Champions, the defending champions of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), are all set for Season 2, with cricket icon Yuvraj Singh returning as captain and Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn continuing as co-owner of the league. The tournament begins on July 18 in Edgbaston, with India’s first match slated for July 20.
The team sees a major boost with the addition of Shikhar Dhawan, joining an already formidable line-up featuring Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, and several other seasoned campaigners. The matches will be played across four UK cities—Birmingham, Leeds, Northampton, and Leicester—and broadcast live on Star Sports in India and TNT Sports in the UK.
Yuvraj Singh said the WCL is “more than just another league—it’s a celebration of cricket’s enduring legacy,” while co-owner Sumant Bahl expressed confidence in the team’s balanced squad and its title defense.
With six nations competing—India, Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan, and West Indies—the stage is set for a high-energy contest bringing cricketing legends back to the spotlight.
