Bruno Fernandes seemed touched after being praised by a reporter for his constant dedication. Fernandes gave his all on the pitch as he played in every Premier League game for Manchester United this season, including Sunday’s 4-3 FA Cup victory against Liverpool.
His tireless efforts resulted in him covering every inch of grass, leading to a key last-minute goal by Amad Diallo, which secured Manchester United’s place in the FA Cup semifinals against Coventry City.
Fernandes said he was feeling exhausted at the post-match press conference.
After Sunday’s FA Cup match at Old Trafford, Fernandes spoke with MUTV about the performances of Diallo and Antony, who both scored goals and contributed to their team’s 4-3 victory over Liverpool.
He also praised Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof, his teammates, but a reporter praised the captain as soon as the conversation ended.
Bruno Fernandes: “You got me a little bit emotional.”

“I appreciate that. You’ve got me a little bit emotional because there are good and bad moments, but I am always there for them”, Fernandes replied.
He also spoke about the advice given to the team by Erik Ten Hag, which helped them to defeat Liverpool 4-3. “The first 30 minutes were amazing and he [Ten Hag] said we should get back, have composure to get on the ball and be brave again, not fear the result was going against us. He wanted us to show ourselves, give options and have belief because we’ve done it many times coming back from bad results and we will do it again, that was the message.”
