KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, stressed the significance of controlling the talented 21-year-old bowler Mayank Yadav before of the LSG vs. GT match in the 2024 Indian Premier League.

Mayank Yadav has demonstrated his skill with explosive deliveries that have reached speeds of over 150 kmph in the games in which he has played this IPL season. Rahul underlined the importance of putting his health first.

Although LSG chose to bat first against GT after winning the toss, Mayank Yadav’s development was still the major priority.

Speaking at the toss, Rahul acknowledged the physical toll injuries have taken on Mayank in the past. He highlighted the collective effort of the support staff, including Morne Morkel and others, in ensuring the young cricketer’s welfare.

“It’s still his (Mayank Yadav’s) first season, and a few injuries have been hard on his body. For a 21-year-old, he’s very professional. It’s important for us to manage him. We have some good fast bowlers, and we have Morne and others to look after him,” KL Rahul affirmed.
