Ahead of the much-anticipated showdown between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT), the latter team faces two crucial changes due to injuries.
Gujarat Titans have made two alterations as they gear up to face LSG. Wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha’s absence, owing to a back spasm, sees BR Sharath making his debut in his place. Additionally, Australian pacer Spencer Johnson makes a comeback to the team, replacing Azmatullah Omarzai.
During the toss, which was won by Lucknow Super Giants, GT skipper Shubman Gill expressed contentment despite losing the toss, as he had intended to bowl first. Gill highlighted the necessity to adapt the Playing XI due to injuries within the team.
“We would have bowled first, so happy. We were on top of the game for 33 overs of the match; the last 7 overs didn’t go in our favour. We have a couple of changes. Saha misses out due to a back spasm, and BR Sharath makes his debut for us. Spencer comes back in for Omarzai. We have to forget what has happened in the previous match,” said Shubman Gill at the Toss.
Gujarat Titans Playing XI:
