Injury concerns hover over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vice-captain Nitish Rana, who sustained a hand injury during a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens. This setback led to his absence from the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru and now against Delhi Capitals too.
Rana’s injury status came to light when he posted an image on Instagram with the caption “Smile. Life’s too short to wait for reasons.” The post garnered supportive comments from teammates and fans, with Harbhajan Singh urging him to “Get fit champion.”
However, comments from KKR teammates Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana hinted at the severity of the injury, urging him to return swiftly to the field. Venkatesh Iyer’s comment further suggested that Rana might not have traveled with the KKR squad for their upcoming matches.
Despite the setback, reports suggest that Rana is eyeing a comeback in the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 8.
Fans eagerly await his return, hoping he’ll be fit and ready to lead KKR in their upcoming encounters, including the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14 (at Eden Gardens).
