RCB hopes to revive campaign against winning Rajasthan Royals

This IPL match promises to be a fascinating clash. RCB badly needs a win to revive their campaign while RR wants to extend their winning streak.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are under pressure to bounce back after losing consecutive matches in IPL 2024.

They will be looking to turn things around when they face the in-form Rajasthan Royals (RR) today. Despite having a star-studded team, RCB has yet to perform well as a unit.

Their batting has been inconsistent with top players failing to score runs consistently. This has put too much pressure on the middle order batsmen. The bowling attack has not done well either, following a familiar pattern for RCB fans.

The management is thinking about making changes to the playing team with all-rounder Will Jacks possibly being included. Bringing in Jacks could strengthen their lower-middle order batting and provide more depth in the bowling department.

In contrast to RCB, the Rajasthan Royals have had a winning start to the season, securing victories in all three of their matches so far. While their top batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler have not performed at their best yet, the team has managed to overcome these shortcomings.

The return of fast bowler Sandeep Sharma is expected after he missed the previous match due to a minor injury. He is likely to replace Nandre Burger, who will move back into the Impact Player pool alongside Rovman Powell and Shubham Dube.

Rajasthan Royals are known for their flexible approach, using substitute players based on the match situation rather than solely the toss outcome. Ideally, they aim to field six full-time bowling options.

After an impressive start, wicket-keeper Anuj Rawat has struggled in recent games for RCB. There is a possibility he might be dropped to bring back Dinesh Karthik as the wicket-keeper, allowing Mahipal Lomror to be in the starting team.

Other potential inclusions are Suyash Prabhudessai, Manoj Bhandage, and the interesting option of Will Jacks, which could come at the expense of Cameron Green.
