In a strong step toward clean energy, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd has added 752 megawatts (MW) of solar power in just the first quarter of FY26—a record-breaking achievement for the company. That’s more than double what it added during the same period last year.

This addition means Tata Power’s total utility-scale renewable capacity now stands at 5.6 gigawatts (GW), with 4.6 GW from solar and 1 GW from wind. The company aims to raise this figure even further to 7.3 GW by the end of the financial year, as part of its plan to support India’s growing demand for cleaner, greener power.

Behind this growth is a mix of solid planning, skilled project execution, and strong partnerships. Even in difficult working conditions, the company has delivered on time and on budget—without cutting corners on safety or quality.

Tata Power Renewables also has its eye on the future. It plans to commission another 1.7 GW of utility-owned projects and 1 GW of third-party solar installations in FY26.

This achievement isn’t just about numbers—it’s about momentum. As India pushes for cleaner energy, Tata Power is emerging as one of the key players shaping that shift.
