Here’s why sabja seeds with coconut water is a wholesome mix for weight loss
Potassium, magnesium, and electrolytes are just a few of the many minerals found in coconut water.
Potassium, magnesium, and electrolytes are just a few of the many minerals found in coconut water. However, did you know that it can act as the body’s natural cooling when mixed with basil or sabja seeds? The special blend gives you the best of both worlds and supports your body’s defenses against problems like acidity.
“Coconut water is rich in soluble fibre and antioxidants. It is best for people suffering from frequent dehydration. Being low in calories, coconut water can be substituted by any sugary sports beverage,” stated dietitian Simrat Bhui.
Additionally, it aids in regulating the body’s excessive heat, according to clinical nutritionist Lakshita Jain, the founder of NUTR in Delhi.
Bhui continued, “The combination gives the body a cooling effect, hydration, increases the fiber content just with a drink, and helps in acidity.” Nutritionist Kiran Kukreja claims that soaking sabja seeds in coconut water can help reduce acidity.
“It is rich in fibre which improves blood sugar levels as well as helps deal with constipation,” Bhui added.
“Both being high in antioxidants provides good detoxification and promote weight loss,” Bhui suggested.
According to nutritionist Aarti Babhoota, founder of Yukah and community director of Vaatalya, using coconut water is not a requirement for its effectiveness. “It can work with simple water or lemon water. It should be taken in moderation,” stated Babhoota.
Ways to prepare the mixture
Ingredients required
Sabja seeds (soaked in water in advance), coconut water
Procedure
- For ten to fifteen minutes, soak half a cup of water and 1/2 tsp of sabja seeds.
- Pour one glass of coconut water over these soaked seeds.
Ways to consume
This beverage can be had once a day between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to Kukreja.
Jain suggested eating them with water in the morning or adding them to smoothies, yogurt, herbal teas, porridges, sherbet, and salad dressings.
Things to keep in mind
“While they are a healthy addition, overall lifestyle choices, including a well-rounded diet and regular exercise, play a crucial role in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight,” stated Jain.
“Overuse is not recommended. It is not a one-shot way to lose weight,” wrapped up Babhoota.
