The popular animated series Bluey is bringing an exclusive playdate to Apple Arcade with a special crossover event starting May 21. Bluey and her family will appear in five well-loved games, featuring unique updates across Crossy Road Castle, stitch., puffies., Suika Game+, and Disney Colouring World+. This collaboration aims to provide families with entertaining experiences that are free from ads and in-app purchases.
Marina Mello, BBC Studios’ global director of Gaming & Interactive, stated, “As we continue to grow Bluey in interactive, it’s important that each experience reflects what families love about the brand — its playfulness and creativity, and how it brings people of all ages together.” She emphasized that Apple Arcade is an ideal platform for these experiences due to its focus on quality and providing a safe environment for families.
In Crossy Road Castle, players can enter Bluey and Bingo’s house to tackle a challenging obstacle course. With support for one to four players, family and friends can collaborate to overcome yoga balls and garden gnomes. Every two weeks, new characters from the show will be available, and players can unlock these characters by completing challenges. Additionally, once players unlock Bluey’s house, they can keep it after the event concludes.
The event also includes activities such as fruit matching in Suika Game+, creating Bluey-themed hoops in stitch., and coloring Bluey pages in Disney Colouring World+. Starting June 10, players can engage in puzzles inspired by iconic Bluey episodes and develop a sticker collection in puffies. These events will run through June 24 for stitch., July 8 for puffies., and July 21 for Crossy Road Castle, Suika Game+, and Disney Colouring World+.
In addition to these special events, Apple Arcade is expanding its offerings with four new games launching on June 4. These include Mini Football Legends, a soccer game perfect for the World Cup season, allowing players to create and manage their own team. My Talking Tom 2+ offers players the chance to care for a virtual pet cat, Coffee Inc 2+ is aimed at those looking to build a coffee business empire, and FreeCell Solitaire: Card Game+ brings endless card game enjoyment.
Apple Arcade also offers a free introductory experience for select games like Crossy Road Castle, WHAT THE CLASH?, PGA TOUR Pro Golf, and Hello Kitty Island Adventure on the App Store, allowing players to try them out without a subscription.
