6 sci-fi K-dramas with cinematic brilliance and innovative storyline

Sci-fi films from the Korean film industry are becoming increasingly well-known worldwide as a result of the expanding appeal of Korean cinema.

1. Wonderland

A synthetic realm called Wonderland is developed, allowing people to make contact with loved ones they have lost in real life. 2. Psychokinesis

Seok Heon, a middle-aged guy, is the focus of Psychokinesis. He unexpectedly acquires telekinetic abilities after consuming water from a spring affected by a meteor strike. He chooses to utilize his newly acquired powers to aid his estranged daughter Roo Mi, who is battling a construction company that is attempting to forcibly evict her and her neighbors, as he gets control over them.

3. Space Sweepers

Space Sweepers tells the tale of a motley team of misfit space scavengers and a starship named Victory in the year 2092, when Earth has nearly become uninhabitable. They gather space trash and sell it to the highest bidder to support themselves. But when they come across a humanoid robot that is thought to be a weapon of mass devastation, their lives take an unexpected turn.

4. Jung_E

The dystopian science fiction movie Jung_E is set in a future in which climate change has rendered Earth uninhabitable. A bloody civil war breaks out as humanity flees to space colonies, inspiring the development of battle AI based on the brain data of the world’s best warrior, Yun Jung Yi.The movie centers on Seo Hyun, her daughter, a researcher who is working to build an AI clone in order to win the battle.

5. Okja

The film, directed by the renowned Bong Joon Ho, is about a little girl named Mija who has raised a large, genetically altered pig named Okja for ten years. Okja is a well-known social commentator. But Okja is a part of a large, influential company that intends to take her back for mass manufacture. Mija boldly embarks on a mission to save her dear buddy while quietly revealing the murky side of the food industry.

6. Lucid Dream

Lucid Dream follows Dae Ho, an investigative journalist whose son was kidnapped three years ago. Desperate to find his missing child, he turns to lucid dreaming techniques, hoping to explore his subconscious and uncover hidden memories related to the kidnapping.  With the help of a psychologist and a detective, Dae Ho dives deeper into the dream world, but the lines between reality and dreams begin to blur, leading to shocking revelations
