Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee’s ‘Bad Friends’ podcast chosen for a new adaptation into animated series

A prominent streamer originally picked up the popular podcast Bad Friends, which was hosted by comedians Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee, to be turned into an animated project.
Bad Friends finalised for the animated series
According to Deadline, comedians Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee—who together have over a million subscribers on their Bad Friends YouTube channel—will work together on the animated film that Hulu will produce. According to reports, Lee, Santino, Nick Kreiss, and Andres Salaff are developing the next animated series Bad Friends, which will be based on a script written by Kreiss and Santino. 20th-century Television Animation Studios was awarded the adult animation project.
Adult animated series such as Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, Futurama, and Solar Opposites are available on Hulu. The main focus of Bad Friends will be the friendship between Andrew, who is a fiery lightning bug, and Lee, who is a bashful rolly polly, as they navigate the high school drama of their peculiarly teenage lives.

According to the Windsor Star website, the comedian co-hosts Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee appeared on the Colosseum stage on April 5 at 8 p.m.
In addition to their well-liked podcast, Santino has appeared as a guest on a number of well-known TV shows, including Deadbeat, This Is Us, Arrested Development, The Office, Family Tree, and The League. He began his career on MTV’s Punk’d in the show’s last season as an actor and writer. The 40-year-old performer hosts a podcast by herself called Whiskey Ginger.
The co-hosts of the Bad Friends podcast are renowned for their improv abilities. They use their comedic flare to dive down on a variety of themes, ranging from Area 51 to ridiculous movie remakes.
