Anushka Sen opens up on working with Olympian Kim Ye Ji in the Asia spin-off series ‘Crush’

Anushka Sen has started to broaden her horizons in Asia, building on her nearly two-decade career in the Indian entertainment sector. She has embarked on another thrilling endeavor and is set to make her Korean debut in the Lee Jung Sub movie Asia. As per reports, Olympian Kim Ye Ji also appears in Anushka’s first Korean film spin-off, Crush. The Indian celebrity opened up exclusively to Pinkvilla about working with the Olympic medallist.

“When he said that we are shooting tomorrow with her, I was really looking forward to meeting her. Because I’m a huge fan”, Anushka mentioned in conversation with Pinkvilla.

She continued by expressing her admiration for all athletes and stating that she was motivated by the sharpshooter’s commitment to her sport and discipline. Anushka Sen described their first encounter on the set of Crush as an incredible experience, highlighting Kim Ye Ji’s strong aura and “cool” feel despite her humility.

“She is like my eonni”, the actress added. She also disclosed that she learnt a bit of shooting from Kim Ye Ji.

Anushka Sen can only express her gratitude while speaking about her experience working with the gifted Olympic medallist: “I’m so so grateful.”

She mentioned an actor that she would like to work with in the future as she carried on talking about how much she loves the Korean film and TV industries. She disclosed that she became “obsessed” with Byeon Woo Seok after viewing Lovely Runner.

She did, however, remember to offer a shoutout to Lee Min Ho, who initially encouraged her to pursue chances in the Korean industry, during her discussion of her newfound K-drama “crush.”

She also offered a glimpse into her character in the upcoming series Crush during this exclusive interview. It was disclosed by her that the spin-off series will be entirely centered in the origins of her character and the events that led to her assassination in Asia.

She talked about her experiences costarring on screen alongside actors from different Asian countries, such as Daiyan Trisha, Sean Lee, and Pakorn Chatborrirak, as well as Korean actor Jang Yoon Young. She claimed that despite the fact that each performer was from a different nation and culture, they all worked well together.
