Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna’s vampire film from Maddock Supernatural Universe on the cards?
According to a recent Midday report, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined the cast of the film as the antagonist.
The Maddock Supernatural Universe has already seen two successes this year with Munjya and Stree 2. Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna had paired up for a vampire film in this genre.
Ayushmann Khurrana posted a selfie on Instagram Stories today, October 29, 2024, using a filter that caused his eyes to turn crimson. Blood was seen dripping from his mouth. “Stay tuned for a bloody announcement!! Tomorrow at 11 am!” the actor wrote as the caption. “Tomorrow at 11 a.m.” with the word “bloody” underlined in red.The identical statement was also shared on Rashmika Mandanna’s story.
The movie Thamba is expected to be officially announced tomorrow, October 30, one day before Halloween 2024. This is undoubtedly the ideal moment to reveal this scary comedy.
In an exclusive revelation published in June, Pinkvilla reported that Dinesh Vijan would be working with his Munjya director, Aditya Sarpotdar, again on a vampire-themed movie.
A source close to the development stated, “It will mark the first collaboration of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Both the actors have a very unique arc in the film, which will take the audiences by surprise. The script is presently in the writing stage and will soon get into the pre-production stage.”
Amar Kaushik, the director of Stree 2, who is also producing the vampire movie, revealed the title as Thamba in an interview with India Today.
The source added, “Thamba is set in two periods—in a north Indian city in the present day and in the Vijaynagara Empire of the ancient past. Nawazuddin’s antagonist has been imagined as an eccentric yet violent character who lived centuries ago.” It further mentioned that the character will travel to the present to take revenge.
