Months after winning her first case against her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson filed a second lawsuit against him on Monday in a Los Angeles court. More is expected from the second case than from the one she won last month. Clarkson reportedly filed a lawsuit against Blackstock and his father Narvel Blackstock’s management company, Starstruck Entertainment, alleging that they violated labour laws in California.
The American singer and TV personality reportedly sought a ruling stating that Blackstock and Starstruck Entertainment had been violating state labour laws ever since they first started their relationship, as reported by Page Six. The charges said that she violated the Talent Agencies Act by operating as an “unlicensed talent agency,” arranging business deals on her behalf since 2007.
“Based on the wrongful acts and conduct of Starstruck … all agreements between the parties, should be declared void and unenforceable … and all monies previously paid by cross-complainants to Starstruck should be disgorged from Starstruck, forthwith,” according to the court document, which was obtained by the outlet.
Clarkson alleges in her new suit that she should receive a full refund for all of the money she spent on Blackstock’s father’s company Starstruck Entertainment since 2007, including “commissions, fees, profit, advances, production fees, and any other money.”
