Connection, starring Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do, gained popularity quickly after its initial release due to its captivating storyline and unexpected turns.
However, The Auditors, starring Shin Ha Kyun and Lee Jung Ha, debuted this week to the highest possible ratings.
K-dramas excelling on the ratings scale

The crime thriller drama Connection ended on July 6, 2024, with the highest ratings of the show’s whole run. With a 14.2 percent rating in the finale, it achieved the highest spot in its time slot and set a personal best for the thriller. It also succeeded in becoming this week’s most-watched program with an average rating of 4.8 percent from viewers in the 20–49 age range.
The Auditors debuted with the highest ratings in its own time slot on the first day, since release. Nielsen Korea reported that The Auditors’ first episode received a 3.5 percent rating.

However, The Pork Cutlets, an MBC drama spanning two episodes, concluded its brief run with a decent 3.3 percent national rating.
After recording high ratings the previous week, JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday drama Miss Night and Day, starring Jung Eun Ji, Lee Jung Eun, and Choi Jin Hyuk, saw a decline to 5.7 with episode 7.
Beauty and Mr. Romantic, which had a viewership rating of 17.5% on Saturday, was able to hold its position as the most watched drama.
