At the box office and online, Akshay Kumar’s appearance in Stree 2, which starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, generated a lot of talk. Writer Niren Bhatt of Stree 2 addressed these developments in a recent interview, speculating as to whether or not fans might anticipate seeing more of Kumar or maybe a full-fledged film based around his character.

Speaking with India Today recently, the writer responded, “I won’t be able to reveal much. But rest assured, we have plans for each and every character in the universe. Even the smallest and the biggest of them.” He made a suggestion that Akshay’s role is not merely a fortuitous cameo and could eventually grow into a fully-fledged character.

He clarified that every character in this universe is related to every other character and interacts with them in different ways, creating a plethora of filmmaking opportunities. He was excited about the possibility of making an independent movie with Akshay Kumar and mentioned that their job is to find the greatest storylines and perspectives.

His character, whose real name is still unknown, is portrayed as the head of a mental health facility. Reintroduced as the last living descendant of Sarkata, he has the wisdom required to permanently vanquish the spirit.

Niren also related the tale of how Kumar was asked to make a cameo appearance. He acknowledged that at first, he didn’t think Akshay would accept the part because it was “too weak” for him. Despite Niren’s objections, director Amar Kaushik suggested pitching the sequence to Akshay during the filming of Skyforce, according to Niren’s account. The Sarfira actor surprised him by responding affirmatively and expressing how excited he was to play the part.
