Fire breaks out at Mumbai’s Chitra Cinema; BMC indicates no injuries

The famous Chitra Cinema Hall in Mumbai saw a regrettable incident in the afternoon of July 28, 2024. There was a reported fire at the theater, which caused quite a commotion among the guests and Dadar outlet managers.

The management made it clear that no injuries had been sustained, according to BMC verification. They disclosed that the fire started in the canteen area but was quickly put out. The statement also recognized the efforts of the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), who assisted with the theater’s precautionary evacuation and responded to the fire call in a timely and efficient manner.
The statement mentioned, “The safety and well-being of our patrons and staff are our highest priorities. We commend the MFB and our staff for their quick and professional actions, which ensured the safety of everyone present.”
The management added that they are now closely collaborating with the authorities to conduct a thorough fire safety inspection and guarantee that Chitra Cinema’s premises satisfies all necessary safety regulations.

“We understand that this incident may have caused concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.” Customers will receive updates on the same during the course of the ongoing procedure.
“The fire broke out in the canteen of the cinema hall. It is confined to the electric Oven, food items, electric installation, and wiring. People were evacuated by MFB from the theatre for safety reasons,” stated BMC.
