NewJeans’ fans expected to send wreaths?
According to recent reports, NewJeans supporters of ADOR’s Min Hee Jin are planning to send HYBE condolence wreaths—which are typically sent during funerals—along with participating in a protest. However, Kim Chaewon of the girl group LE SSERAFIM from the HYBE label is celebrating her birthday on the same day as their planned protests.
Some people said that sending a condolence symbol on a day when people are celebrating is inappropriate, while others contended that since the protest is unrelated to LE SSERAFIM, it shouldn’t matter.
HYBE vs ADOR
Since early this year, HYBE and ADOR have been engaged in a tug-of-war as fresh information comes to light every day.The parent firm HYBE leveled harsh charges against ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin and made public an audit report revealing the CEO’s departure intentions. She was accused of being involved with shamans, disclosing personal information about artists, and a host of other things.
Min Hee Jin responded by holding a press conference where she presented her position. As of April 28, rumors surfaced about Bang Si Hyuk, the chairman of HYBE, possibly belonging to a cult.
According to recent reports, Min Hee Jin has accused HYBE executives of defamation and unauthorized access to personal information.
