Sabrina Carpenter seems to have an uncanny ability to amaze her audience. On February 14, 2025, the singer released a version of the song “Please Please Please” that starred the legendary Dolly Parton.
Parton’s voice improved the already popular song’s rendition and gave it a more country feel. Meanwhile, it appears the song made reference to Carpenter’s ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan.
The singer and the seasoned country musician can be seen singing the song’s lyrics in a car in the new music video. At one point, the Espresso singer, who is standing at the rear of the vehicle, receives a shovel from the fellow vocalist.
Then the police comes after the pair. Later, the camera pans to show a person with their face covered and bound at the rear of the car. What’s remarkable is that the person is dressed exactly like Keoghan did in the previously released music video.
When Carpenter finally stops, the guy in the back can be heard yelling in the video. As they converse with one another, the two singers can be seen enjoying themselves.
Carpenter and the actor reportedly dated intermittently for around a year before deciding to take a break, according to People magazine. “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” an insider told the magazine.
