Ranbir Kapoor opens up on witnessing frequent brawls among his parents
He also revealed that, despite being afraid of his father in real life, Ranbir’s character in Animal was fixated on him.

Ranbir Kapoor, son of Neetu Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor revealed in a recent interview that he used to be afraid of his father and that he witnessed his parents fight frequently.
The actor’s equation with his father
Ranbir Kapoor revealed to Nikhil Kamath that although his late father Rishi Kapoor was a short-tempered man, he was actually a good man who loved his family, his job, food, and alcohol.
Ranbir remarked that his father was a very open person and that he never said no to him.
“He never shouted at us, he never raised his hands but just around us his temperament was so like volatile that it always scared me,” the 41-year-old added.
“I have spent most of my childhood hearing them fight so i was scared but I think both of them were going through a very rough patch but they both loved each other eventually they found beautiful companionship,” Ranbir added.

The Rockstar actor revealed in the same interview that he and Alia have a great relationship with his mother Neetu Kapoor. They both said that they are more honest with each other than he is with his mother, which makes him very happy. They are also very honest with each other.

In Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the Ramayana, Ranbir plays Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita.
