Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa of Kannada is scheduled to remain under judicial custody until August 11 in connection with Renukaswamy’s alleged murder. On August 1, 2024, the superstar of Kannada cinema was brought before the magistrate court with his associates, including his rumored lover Pavitra Gowda.

According to IANS, the court received a remand application from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) requesting an extension of judicial custody.

The young man was tortured and his murder was planned by the actor as a reprisal for the remarks he had made. In the murder case, the actor and actress Pavithra were taken into custody on June 11, 2024.
