Singer Neha Bhasin opens up on her PMDD and OCPD diagnosis in a lengthy note

Singing some of the greatest chart-topping hits, such as Asalaam-e-Ishqum, Jag Ghumeya, and Dhunki, Neha Bhasin has a solid track record in the business.

Although Neha Bhasin’s fibromyalgia was only identified as a diagnosis two years ago, she acknowledged that she had always felt unwell. An excerpt from her lengthy note said, “After Years of knowing something is off. Finally with more awareness medically today comes the Diagnosis (on paper since 2 years, I have known since I was 20 ) which helps get the right treatments for mental and hormonal illnesses with all of this comes a major realization and then THE acceptance that At least for now my nervous system feels broken..”

Neha further listed a number of symptoms in her note, such as anxiety, cyclical depressive episodes, physical and emotional pain, and chronic fatigue. Bhasin also mentioned sleep disturbances, unhealthy eating habits, and past traumas. She went on to say that journaling and yoga were sources of comfort for her.

“My monthly PMDD still finds a way to throw me in an old dark hole or dig many new ones. Is this my failure? Asks my OCPD.. Flares up what my DR calls Fibromylgia which now I am finally ACCEPTING too.. I have worked out. Danced, performed through pain for years thinking am just tight so stretch more” Bhasin added.

Neha stated that although she still faces difficulties in her life, she does not regard herself as a victim or a victor. She concluded, “I just write as that seems as the most comforting thing to do. Sending everyone love.”
