This actor from the Panchayat series was replaced by Pankaj Tripathi in Gangs of Wasseypur

The actor alleged that Pankaj Tripathi was cast in lieu of him by casting director Mukesh Chhabra for the role of Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur.

In Bollywood, Pankaj Tripathi is regarded as one of the best actors. However, countless of individuals are motivated to step outside of their comfort zone and pursue their aspirations by his story of success.

But Pankaj Jha, an actor from Panchayat, has subtly accused Tripathi of making his suffering seem glamorous.

In conversation with Lallantop, Jha claimed that people have enormous egos and complexes, pointing to the powerful individuals in the industry who exhibit large egos, “They get upset if you don’t greet them or if you voice your opinions. They get so upset that they refuse to work with you again, and they tell their friends not to work with you either. It’s happened to me”.

When pressed for an example, he revealed that he had received a call from Mukesh Chhabra and was joining the Gangs of Wasseypur. However, he was in Patna at the time and came back a few days later. “By then, he’d got someone else to do the character I was supposed to play,” he said. While he didn’t take the name of Pankaj Tripathi, he mentioned that it was the role of Sultan that was played by him.

“Some people say they sold potatoes; others say they lived in a tiny house; some say they stole another actor’s slippers. I feel every situation is a learning experience,” added Jha. He did not mention Tripathi by name, but the allusion to stealing slippers might be about the actor from Mirzapur who once took Manoj Bajpayee’s slippers while working at a hotel that Bajpayee frequently mentioned.
