In Bollywood, Pankaj Tripathi is regarded as one of the best actors. However, countless of individuals are motivated to step outside of their comfort zone and pursue their aspirations by his story of success.
But Pankaj Jha, an actor from Panchayat, has subtly accused Tripathi of making his suffering seem glamorous.
When pressed for an example, he revealed that he had received a call from Mukesh Chhabra and was joining the Gangs of Wasseypur. However, he was in Patna at the time and came back a few days later. “By then, he’d got someone else to do the character I was supposed to play,” he said. While he didn’t take the name of Pankaj Tripathi, he mentioned that it was the role of Sultan that was played by him.
“Some people say they sold potatoes; others say they lived in a tiny house; some say they stole another actor’s slippers. I feel every situation is a learning experience,” added Jha. He did not mention Tripathi by name, but the allusion to stealing slippers might be about the actor from Mirzapur who once took Manoj Bajpayee’s slippers while working at a hotel that Bajpayee frequently mentioned.
