One of the most talked about K-Dramas online is Resident Playbook, the subsidiary series of hit series Hospital Playlist. Amidst the praise, the drama has also engulfed into controversies and bitter discussions, recently.
Um Jae Il (Kang You Seok), a resident doctor who was a fan favourite idol from the band HI-BOYZ. The group eventually were spotted in the last episodes, including the bandmates, Soobin and Yeonjun who are now a part of TXT.
It goes without saying that the special song at the finale episodes was meant to be the OST for the K-drama, sung by TXT that instantly gained love from the fans. Post the release, a popular social media account @kchartsmaster was a classic hit. topping the charts.
This gained massive attention from fans who retaliated that TXT indeed have the potential, the onus lies on BIGHIT and HYBE to help them rise high. They took a jibe at the management agencies who are restraining their potential.
A fan wrote: “See how the song that bighit has no hand in is successful? I hope Bighit and hybe know that they are the problem.” Another pointed, “bright songs will always do well if they’re by txt… that’s just their forte”. Someone added, “see when you release songs longer than 3 minutes”.

While some pointed that it is imperative to let the group experiment rather than stick to a given genre suggested by HYBE. Many left comments with conviction that HYBE will set better formula for TXT and help them realize their truest version in the K-pop world.
