Veteran actress Asha Sharma, who starred in a number of TV series and films, has passed away. This afternoon, the official Twitter account of CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association) relayed the same news.
CINTAA sent its condolences to Sharma’s family, confirming the rumours. They penned down, “#cintaa expresses its condolences on the demise of Asha Sharma.” The cause of her demise is still unknown.

In television series and films, Asha was well-known for her roles as a mother and a grandma. Her performance in the film Do Dishayen, starring Dharmendra and Hema Malini along with well-known figures like Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani, and Nirupa Roy, brought her praise and stardom. She was a part of well-known works, such as Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.
She last appeared in the film Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. She has also appeared in television programs including Ek Aur Mahabharat, Mann Ki Awaz Pratigya, and Kumkum Bhagya.
