Youn Yuh Jung to not reprise her role in Pachinko 3?

Veteran South Korean actress Youn Yuh Jung is well-known for her parts in popular films such as Dog Days and Dear My Friends. Having entered the profession in 1969, she even took home the 93rd Academy Awards for Best Supporting Role in Mirai.
In an interview, co-actor Jin Ha’s ability to handle Korean, English, and Japanese was mentioned by Young Yuh Jung as evidence of his talent. Because Jin Ha does not speak Japanese, Youn Yuh Jung gave him praise for his talent and effort. She joked that she would prefer to skip Pachinko 3 if it contained Japanese dialogue.
On August 23, Pachinko Season 2 will be available for streaming on Apple TV+. Each of the eight episodes—which will be released every Friday—will be available.Soo Hugh, the show’s executive producer, is also the author and creator of Pachinko.
The drama, which is based on Min Jin Lee’s novel, chronicles the survival of a Korean immigrant family across four generations. The primary cast of the first season, which includes Kim Min Ha, Anna Sawai, Young Yuh Jung, Lee Min Ho, Jin Ha, Jung Eun Chae, and others, will return for the second season.
The story is set in colonial Korea, highlights political and cultural undertones. Japanese rule over Korea had a significant impact on the course of the characters’ lives and the reasons for their personalities.
