Young Sheldon: Will Annie Potts aka Meemaw return in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage? Deets here

Post the conclusion of Young Sheldon, Annie Potts has made some remarks about what lies ahead for her character Meemaw in the upcoming series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Annie Potts posts pictures with the crew 

Potts recently posted a photo of her character’s sign from the set on Instagram, complete with the official show logo with Melissa Peterman and Rachel Bay Jones in another picture. The new show will star Peterman, who played Brenda Sparks, and Jones, who played Mandy’s mother in Young Sheldon.

Audrey played by Jones and Jim McAllister played by Will Sasso will be regulars on the show. Joseph Apollonio will be replaced by Dougie Baldwin as Mandy’s brother, Connor. Additionally, Jessie Prez will play Ruben, a worker at Jim’s tire store.

Is Meemaw expected to appear in the upcoming season? 

Meemaw’s future appearances after the first episode are still unknown. The main characters of the show will be Emily Osment’s Mandy and Montana Jordan’s Georgie, with cameos from the original Young Sheldon cast.

Though it’s unclear if Meemaw and Mary will be back in more episodes, CBS may bring Mary back because of her important part in the family’s narrative following George’s passing, as demonstrated by The Big Bang Theory.

Missy, played by Raegan Revord is scheduled to make an appearance in the second episode of the new series. Although it’s unclear if Iain Armitage will reprise his role as Sheldon Cooper, he might make an appearance in a special holiday episode. The first episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will air on CBS on October 17, 2024.
