Kylian Mbappe, a Frenchman, is expected to dominate the headlines during the forthcoming summer transfer window. Mbappe has already informed PSG of his choice not to renew his contract beyond this season, and he is set to leave as a free agent, with Real Madrid looking to be his most likely destination.

However, Mbappe’s national teammate Olivier Giroud may be on his way out of Europe after the season, with a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) on his radar.

Currently in contract, Olivier Giroud joined AC Milan, a dominant team in Serie A, in 2021 after joining Chelsea for free. The Frenchman will be out of contract at the San Siro this summer, and all talks about extending his stay in Milan have stopped. However, the famous French striker may be departing European football at the end of the current season, as he is in talks for a deal with MLS club Los Angeles FC.

It is expected that Olivier Giroud will sign with LAFC because his contract with AC Milan expires this summer. He would join LAFC after Euro 2024, which is scheduled for June 14–July 14. The Major League Soccer summer transfer market opens on July 18.

As per reports, the guaranteed part of the agreement will last for 18 months, until the 2025 MLS season. Because LAFC owns his MLS discovery rights, they may sign him before any other MLS team.
