Complex-PTSD is a condition in which an individual has all the symptoms of PTSD plus extra symptoms like anger management problems and a lack of confidence in others. “Gaslighting, a form of psychological manipulation where a person is made to doubt their own reality, can be especially challenging to recognize for those with C-PTSD,” stated Therapist Linda Meredith.

Gaslighting: Learn the Warning Signs

  • It can be difficult for us to recognize behaviors that resemble gaslighting in people with C-PTSD because of pre-existing self-doubt.
