Hinduja Family Leads Sunday Times Rich List 2026 with £38 Billion Fortune

The Hinduja family has once again claimed the top position on The Sunday Times Rich List 2026, maintaining its status as the richest family in the United Kingdom for the fifth consecutive year.

Sanjay and Dheeraj Hinduja and family, representing the Hinduja Group, were ranked first with an estimated net worth of £38 billion in the annual list featuring around 350 of the UK’s wealthiest individuals and families.

The family stayed ahead of several prominent global billionaires, including David and Simon Reuben and family (£27.971bn), Sir Leonard Blavatnik (£26.852bn), Idan Ofer (£24.481bn), and the Weston family (£18.939bn).

The 111-year-old Hinduja Group operates across 38 countries with diversified investments in mobility, digital technology, financial services, healthcare, media, energy, real estate, and specialty chemicals, among others.

Despite global economic uncertainty, the Group has continued expanding its footprint while increasing investments in future-oriented sectors such as electric mobility and EV charging infrastructure in India.

The Group’s long-standing philosophy, inspired by founder Late Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja — “My Dharma is to work so that I can give” — continues to shape its business and philanthropic initiatives worldwide.

Through the Hinduja Foundation, the family also supports projects in education, healthcare, sustainable rural development, and water conservation.
